Industry: General Dentist
Just a little bit about me....
-
You don't have to say it, I already know- "Nothing personal, but I just don't like to go to the dentist". This is a scenario that I encounter on almost a daily basis, and perhaps something that maybe even you- as a patient, have said in the past. Although I can't change your past experiences, I can only hope to create positive dental experiences in your future. I like to have fun at work and its something that's easy to do because I love what I do! Balancing fun with work was something that I found necessary while majoring in General Biology at Doane College in Crete, NE. During my time at Doane, I competed in football and track, where I was a national champion in track, and hold a rushing record in football. When I wasn't in the biology lab, or competing in one of my intercollegiate sports, I was the social chair for our fraternity Phi Beta Sigma (Blue Phi!). I found that joining social organizations was very rewarding in regards to the friends and relationships that developed through the time, and struggle, that was college. After Doane, I was accepted to the Dental program at Marquette University, in Milwaukee, WI. While at Marquette, I joined the Dental Fraternity Psi Omega, wherein, once again, I was social chair for the fraternity. The four years in Dental School were very tough, but very rewarding. Marquette Dental has a history of providing their students with an overabundance of hands on training, and being familiar with the latest, as well as the most basic techniques in Dentistry. My training has enabled me to minimize the number of referrals that are done out of the office, which translates to less running around for you, the patient. As with all fields, dentistry too is changing. Some of the latest additions to my dental capabilities include the use of facial Botox injections in the treatment of migraine/tension headaches, and TMD. The use of the one-hour Sappphire in-office whitening system, as well as utilizing the invisalign system of braces, to help straighten out most smiles, and finally the use of Lumineers, a non-invasive way of permanently whitening or aligning the teeth, where in many cases requires no shots, and can be completed in as little as two weeks.
